Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) explains the permitted and prohibited use of Legalithm services. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service and applies to all users, workspaces, and integrations.

1. Permitted Use

You may use Legalithm to evaluate and operationalize compliance workflows for lawful business activities.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or contractual obligation.
  • Scan websites, applications, or systems that you do not own or are not authorized to assess.
  • Generate fraudulent, deceptive, or forged compliance documentation.
  • Upload malware, malicious scripts, or harmful payloads.
  • Probe, attack, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls.
  • Interfere with service availability, performance, or reliability.
  • Use automated scripts to abuse usage limits or API quotas.
  • Process unlawfully obtained personal data or special-category data without lawful basis.
  • Use outputs as a substitute for required legal or professional advice where mandatory.
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality rights.

3. Security and Responsible Use

  • Maintain strong account credentials and protect your access tokens.
  • Immediately report suspected abuse or unauthorized access.
  • Use generated recommendations with human review before operational decisions.
  • Respect rate limits and fair-use thresholds.

4. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe this policy has been violated, we may take action including warnings, temporary suspension, data access restrictions, or account termination, depending on severity and risk.

5. Reporting Violations

Report abuse or security concerns to security@legalithm.com.

6. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
