Before deploying a high-risk AI system, carry out a fundamental rights impact assessment (FRIA) to evaluate the impact on the rights of persons affected.

How to satisfy it: Conduct a FRIA covering: description of deployer's processes using the AI system, period and frequency of use, categories of affected persons, specific risks of harm, human oversight measures, and measures taken in case of materialization of risks. Notify the relevant market surveillance authority of the results.
